Ilana J. Moskowitz

Biography

Ilana Moskowitz is an accomplished litigator and trial attorney with nearly a decade of experience representing individuals, businesses, and insurance carriers in complex legal disputes. Her practice focuses on automobile negligence, premises liability, catastrophic injury claims, and other negligence-related matters, where she combines strategic advocacy with a practical, client-centered approach.

Originally from Potomac, Maryland, Ilana relocated to Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University’s prestigious dual-admission Legal Studies program before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.

Ilana began her legal career at a prominent Florida law firm, where she developed a diverse litigation background handling matters involving personal injury, business disputes, fraud and deceptive trade practices, labor and employment law, and professional liability. This broad foundation has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process and the ability to navigate complex legal challenges across a variety of industries.

Ilana approaches each case with a commitment to understanding her clients’ unique objectives. She believes that effective representation begins with listening, identifying the client’s goals, and developing a strategic and efficient plan to achieve the best possible outcome. Her ability to balance aggressive advocacy with practical problem-solving has earned the trust of clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel alike. Outside of the office, Ilana is passionate about giving back to her community and is proud to support organizations including Best Buddies, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and various animal rescues. Representative Experience

Rubinstein, et. al. v. Yehuda, et. al.: Prevailed in a multi-million dollar three week federal court jury trial. In this case, Ms. Moskowitz represented the plaintiff in a commercial litigation matter against his former business partners in the purchase of a hotel property in South Florida. The lawsuit claimed fraud and conversion and sought both compensatory and punitive damages. The defendants were represented by a well-known and respected national law firm. After three days of deliberations, the jury came back with a verdict in favor of the Ms. Moskowitz’s client finding both compensatory damages (in the net amount of 1 million dollars) and punitive damages (in the amount of 2.5 million dollars) for a total recovery for the client of 3.5 million dollars.
Emery v. Town of Davie – Ms. Moskowitz helped secure a defense verdict for the Town of Davie in an auto accident claim. Due to a successful proposal for settlement, the Court awarded attorneys’ fees and costs to Ms. Moskowitz’s client.
Vaughn v. Passerelli, et. al. – Ms. Moskowitz represented the owner of a property who was sued when the prior owner had an altercation with an individual who was unauthorized to live on the property. With Ms. Moskowitz’s help, her client prevailed on summary judgment and was dismissed from this premises liability lawsuit.
