Kenneth H. “Mac” MacKay, IV, is a fifth generation native of Ocala, Florida. He graduated from Auburn University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in History. Mr. MacKay then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2018. Throughout his education, he gained invaluable experience working in a legal aid clinic for indigent clients, clerking for the Honorable Steven Rogers in the Fifth Judicial Circuit and interning in a United States Senatorial office.
While pursuing his Juris Doctorate, Mr. MacKay was invited to become a member of the Florida Moot Court team where he competed in both state and national competitions. He also serves as a member of the board of trustees of Florida Defenders of the Environment, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the integrity of Florida's springs and rivers.
Mr. MacKay joined Adams Coogler in the summer of 2017 as a law clerk. After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2018, he returned as an attorney with the firm. He works in our general commercial and civil litigation department and focuses his practice on cases involving contract disputes, premises liability, defective products liability, commercial auto negligence, negligent hiring and retention, construction litigation, and wrongful death cases.
