James Newman graduated, cum laude, from the University of Florida with Bachelor Degrees in History and Political Science and specializations in Business Administration and Communication Studies. After receiving his undergraduate degrees, Mr. Newman graduated, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
While pursuing his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Newman competed as a member of the Florida Trial Team in both state and national trial advocacy competitions. He also served as the President of the Florida Student Bar Association, clerked for University of Florida’s Student Legal Services Department, and is a proud member of Florida Blue Key.
Mr. Newman works in our general commercial and civil litigation department and is experienced in cases involving contract disputes, premise liability, defective products liability, commercial auto negligence, negligent hiring and retention, construction litigation, and wrongful death cases.
